Good News!

When God created the world, it was perfect and when he observed all that he had created it was “very” good (Genesis 1:31).

Contrary to God’s design for their lives, Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman) violated God’s command and ate from the one tree in the perfect environment that they were told by God not to eat from.

This led to a separation from God. Every human being from then until now has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23). As a result, we are all broken, and the world is filled with much brokenness.

God’s love for us, (John 3:16) led him to send his son Jesus to live a perfect life and take our sins and shame upon himself on the cross. He paid the penalty we should have paid for our sins and died in our place.

In doing so he paid the debt that we owed. Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the grave and provided a way for us to be reconciled to relationship with God, (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

In light of this we are called to repent and believe in this good news, (Mark 1:15).

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, (Romans 10:9).

If we respond to this good news (The Gospel) by confessing our sinful brokenness and accept Jesus’ atonement for our sins by placing our faith in him, we can be restored to relationship with God and when we enter into eternity, we will be with him forever.

If we reject this good news and choose not to place our faith in Jesus, we fail to be reconciled to God and we face an eternity in which we will forever be separated from him.
